Rich, any idea when a manual will be online?
Well, it's the same store I asked it from, so there seems to be some confusion about this
I'm anxiously waiting the manual too...
Yeah, I want to already know how to play it before it comes out!

Sounds pretty basic to me, at least on the bottom of the pad. And there's plenty of patches that are not shown in any of the videos, I'm counting on them to be great

Hopefully. I just wish Korg would realize that if we wanted effects on the voices we'd run them through a processor. Adding non-removable effects to the voices just cripples the unit.
Another question (along with the pitch/tempo queries... please check PM, RichF)...
Will the KoPro allow loop tempo to be set independent of internal clock. Like if I'm using the built in sounds and/or running external audio into the unit to sample, and play... it is possible for the KoPro to adjust timing based on what I'm doing VS. me having to work with the unit's tempo? In this case, I could play the KoPro (or external audio) at whatever timing I'm feeling at that moment (instead of tapping out tempo before) and whatever I'm recording in one of the 4 loop banks would then adjust to my timing.
This is a feature that the current Ableton 8 software has built in (simply called the "looper" plug-in)... and I realize there is a difference b/w hardware and software... but, curious if this feature will exist on the KoPro in some form.

Yeah, could be worse... but it would be good to turn off if you want.
(or turn some ON for the more "naked" sounds)
Notice - that beat sounds directly from an EMX
That "midi controller mode" is interesting...
Can we say "Monome"?

my guess is that the monome emulator i already wrote for the kp3 will work out of the box with this. if not, it's a simple matter of changing a few lines of code to work with whatever new MIDI data the thing is throwing out.
the problem is the screen glitches every damn time you touch a new 'button', (because all the LEDs around that spot try to light up.)
it would be great if korg made it so you could disable the LEDs from lighting up upon touching the screen (i know this is extremely unlikely, but here's a case where it should be 'just a few lines of code', so if it could be done, DO IT!).
With reference to the "audio-in" effects, will they be applicable to any wav files that are imported via SD or USB?
Also, about that feature, how will it work? Say I have several different wav files on an SD card, will I be able to simply assign the one or ones I want to which looper button I want? Or does it not work like that?
This is not a dealbreaker if it's not like that. I've been waiting for this from Korg for a long time.
