Korg Kaossilator Pro versus Kaoss Pad 3
I need an important information about these 2 machines.
The new Kaossilator Pro will have all KP3 filters, Effects, vocoder, and will have a sequencer like electribe seriesand electribe sounds lead and bass? For DNB/DUB production , the KP3 is more usable?

No, not at all.ricardS wrote:The new Kaossilator Pro will have all KP3 filters, Effects, vocoder, and will have a sequencer like electribe seriesand electribe sounds lead and bass? For DNB/DUB production
The new KOPro is basically an instrument, with its equivalent of a sequencer, which are actually four live audio loopers. you can loop external audio too. It is not really a 'sequencer' because a sequencer sends MIDI data or otherwise retriggers the synth engine sound every time. An audio looper is actually more like an endless repeating tempo sync delay where you layer up your sounds. But the KOPro has four of them so for example you could record your synth bass and drums on one looper, an electric piano line on another, and a guitar riff on another, and mute those seperately to change the arrangement. it can also act as a MIDI controler for other synths or for your DAW etc, and you can save your loops to memory card.
The KP3 is a live effects processor with an innovative control interface - the touchpad - that you use to control various effect parameters. in addition to this it can act as a MIDI controller and it has four sample pads that can play one-shot or loop samples that you have either recorded live or you have loaded from a memory card. I also think that everything has to stop playing in order to sample.
So there really is very little overlap - one is an instrument, the other is an effects processor. They are parallel products - the KOPro isn't a KP3 replacement.

Thanks for the help, I saw that im Korg site i don´t see yet any Kaossilator Pro manual PDF, and KP3 effects and Filters/Osc are fully important to Kaossilator PRO with Robotic powerful Vocoders like Microkorg, Radias or R3.
The new M3 is a fully completed workstation with analog Vintage Modular sounds and with a MS2000B/Microkorg/R3/RADIAS Robotic 16 band Vocoders with all KP3 filters, effects (Delay, Roll,Note repeate, Flanger, Reverb, Chorus, etc),Osc, sequencer, and with drum pads, faders, knobs? It is the best buy for the faster hardware production?
For Dance Music with easy to use and real time machines to work very faster, like the Electribes, AKAI MPCs, Yamaha RS7000, Roland MV and SP series or KP3, it is very important to me, because Hardware is always better then any virtual VST synths/Sequencers/Samplers software.

well, from what we're told the KOPro has some basic effects - mainly vocoders, which aren't strictly effects, because they take a pitched input from a synth waveform and modulate it with your voice.
the M3 is a workstation Synthesizer. a workstation is something for which it is intended to create entire tracks from start to finish if you really want to. Most people will still use an external software DAW though.
It really depends on what you want to do. I suggest you think a little more about what you want to ask or what you need to know about these products, and what you would want to use them for.
the M3 has the option of an EXB-Radias expansion card which gives it a fully powered radias inside that you can select programs from (tightly integrated) just like any other program on the M3. it also has all the realtime controls and features you mention. It can process five inset effects, two master effects, and one total effect, all at once.

I need a very faster production machine very easy to operate, really a best buy product all in one workstation.
You think a M3, M50 or EMX1+KP3 are the best solution, or a simple midi controller like Novation SL mk2, PadKontrol, Korg, M audio, CME, Fatar Studiologic,or Akai MPK/MPD series, with a Computer, interface audio firewire/PCI/ADAT and VST software,Universal audio/TC Electronic effects PCI, Virtual sampler, effects with vocoding and virtual Sequencers are better them any hardware solutions for a faster program prodution?

I would always recommend a hardware product over software. There are too many variables in software (pun kinda intended) - you need to have a good computer, good audio outputs, etc.
Also you need to buy a number of software products usually whilst a hardware product designed to make tracks like a workstation or groovebox has all those functions built in.
Also, it depends whether you are playing live, or just recording? And whether you can play a keyboard at all or just want to twiddle knobs and press buttons?
The M3 has a realtime algorithmic composition system instead of arpeggiators, although both are capable of producing drums and backing tracks somewhatAre you interested in that kind of functionality?

yeah, I always love hardware more then software, because some hardware is a vintage classic in a few years.I m a Korg fan, but i didn´t buy anything yet, i study several synths, and the synth sounds are for me the most important part.I like the Korg sounds more then Yamaha, Roland or Kurzweil.I like the Electribes sounds but i think it could be limited to a M50 or M3 .The technical assistance is important too.Creating endless new vintage synths sounds Modular, Analogic like Moog, Farfisa,Waldorf, Doepfer, Arp, Sequential Circuits, or Clavia, with Vocoder is more important.

Have you looked at the radias? you'd need something else to sequence and produce entire tracks on... but it depends how far you want to go - if you just want sequencing or recording for example. I'd be very happy with just my Radias and a multitrack audio recorder, for example.
IMHO KORG products do offer the best value for money, and all have a great combination of ease of use (and intuitive interface) and sometimes inventive and innovative ideas and control interfaces (like the Kaoss series - using a touchpad to control effects = absolutely genius!)
you didn't answer one of the most important questions though - are you a keys player or do you want to become a keys player, or do you want to focus more on sequencing and sound design?

All functions in one workstation only.I think M3 xpanded is the most complete machine with all vintage sounds, sequencer, and vocoder of Microkorg, Radias, Ms2000B,MS20,etc. The price is very high i know, and other korg machines could be better choices (EMX1+KP3+ESX1+Microkorg XL/R3+ M50) for example.
I started now as a studio producer and keyboard player i am not a pro, but I will really choose the best hardware products workstations for live and recording all in one, for live and recording, before go to buy. I study a lot of synth brands manuals like (Korg, Ketron/Solton, Kurzweil,Waldorf,Openlabs,GEM, Orla,EMS,Dave Smith,Access,Clavia,Arp,Sequential Circuits,Moog,Doepfer, Farfisa, Elka,Vermona, Roland, Yamaha, Akai,Novation,Fatar,Quasimidi, Electron, Radikal Tecnologies,Spectralis,Clavia Nord,Ensoniq, Alesis, EMU,etc.), and i think Korg is the best brand now, i don´t like software solutions, like Native Instruments,Pro Tools, Fruty Loops, Ableton or Reason, i prefer classic Modular Vintage synth workstations Machines, but workstations all in one machines to produce new endless sounds/noise/Lead and Basslines(keyboard with velocity aftertouch, and hammer action, not a midi controller, like M Audio Keystation 88 Pro, Akai MPK88, Yamaha KX8, Novation SL or CME VX80, but a music workstation with modular vintage synth, like MS20/MS2000B with faders, variable modular filters, envelopes, many knobs, faders, drum Pads,Touch pads, Robotic vocoders 16 band or more until 40 Band, 16 or 32 track sequencer, USB, linux open source, 256mb or more of Dance sounds included with update expansions, effects processors with Delay and Flanger, and Oscillators, note repeat/roll, arppegiators, and sampling option.)

well, there isn't anything about any of the above you mention that makes them at all modular, but I think you're just using the wrong term. They are very flexible... but I think the only workstation that comes close to the true meaning of the word 'modular' would be Kurzweil synths... but they have awfully small screens apparently.
the M3 does seem to be the best choice for you - particularly as a keyboard player. even if you weren't, I'd probably just recommend the M3M. It can really be an all-in one solution if you want it to, if you are happy with the sounds and workflow. The M50 would also be a good choice if you don't want KARMA or sampling, or aftertouch... But it doesn't have a vocoder.
Have you looked at second hand stuff like a Triton Extreme?
But make sure you check out all the information on anything before you buy it. If you have specific questions, ask in the appropriate forum section (i.e. the M3 section, M50 section, electribe section).
I hope you find exactly what you are looking for.

Ok, thanks a lot i will study a little more the M3M or the M3 Xpanded with the radias vocoder board included.
I saw the new Kurzweil PC3X and ketron Audya and K2500XS in the second hand, and i see that are a very complicating machine, not versatle similar to Ensoniqs ou EMU modular synths with a bad Technical Assistance. The Korg brand had in the past Modular Synths with powerful sounds and as well excelent vocoders, and now with excelent world Technical Assistance.

you get a basic vocoder effect in the effects section of all the recent KORG workstations that have audio In/sampling - the OASYS, M3, Triton Extreme, Triton Studio, etc.... as far as I know. the Radias board adds a much fuller vocoder with lots of parameters, but it isn't necesary. And although the M3 and M50's engine is based on samples, its new filters high-definition are capable of producing some pretty raw analog sounds.
