ESX1 Soft Midi Through

Hi,

Can anyone advise if the ESX1 can pass an external midi clock through to it's midi out port? Or, can it pass its own sequenced midi to the midi through port?

Im triggering externally, but want to use the ESX1 sequencer to play other synths. If I connect the other synths to midi out, I can play, but no clock. If I connect the other synths to midi through, I can sync, but not play....

What's sending the clock data? If you use the ESX as the master clock (CLOCK=Int) won't that send the clock on the ESX's midi out and solve the problem?

A computer. Indeed having the esx as master would work, but getting the computer to sync to external clock is never as reliable as the other way round.

Plus, if I have esx out going to midi in on the computer for sync, I'll have to have a soft though on the computer going off to the modules.

Maybe thats not so bad...I'll give it a go and see how the workflow feels...
