Please read the manuals before really editing the programs and combis. You need to read through the Parameter Guide. Every parameter is explained, and you will find pitch bend range as well.

Not 100% sure (I'm a TR user), but if the M50 behaves like the TR, you need to edit the bend range on programs, not on combis if you want an uneven bend (say an octave down but only a major second up). In combi mode, you can only set the a value that controls the up and down bend ranges at once.

Search for Portamento in teh Parameter guide. Also, prior to making a change, check out the buttons labeled 1 and 2 above the joystick. I found that sometimes, these buttons already have the portamento adjusted for octave bends. They also have some really cool adjustments to the sounds.

The manual sucks for the M50. If you want to find info use the parameter guide. So far, it's been spot on for just about every question I've come up with.

Portamento isn't pitch bend, it's what some synths refer to as 'glide'.

My bad, My old eyes only remember big bold text anymore. It's page 23 of the parameter guide, just above the portamento instructions.

Thanks all, I'll check that parameter area. If I just take some time looking I'll look for it there :D

I like this board so far..I'm very impressed with my Micro, reminds me a little of my old Moog Prodigy. And my first ever synth was the Poly 61 years..ago

Yeah, I love these Korgs. I've seen a few 61's on ebay, but they're all in rough shape, mostly bad contacts under the keys. I almost bought one for nostalgia.
PS Our bass player is from Venezuela too
