Stephen-Miami Nights-July 09

I'm thinking of some additions, EQ, and minor changes to this, but I need to step away for a little while, and come back to it with a fresh attitude, and ears.

I think this sounds great. Classic chords. When the organ comes in w the break at first I could use some congo drum rolls, and the horns might be better a bit more up front. Just thoughts. The drums and percussion sound really good. I like the abrupt ending. I would say I always find your latin refreshing as its a good way for you to continue your signature smooth style yet give us some more funkier groovin rhythms. This is fun to listen to and I know when you finish tweaking this will be a great song to put on a cd. I don't know how you keep pumping these out, I know for a fact that it isn't easy.

Hi Stephen

Like George, I am amazed at how you keep managing to write good song after good song....you always achieve a great balance of instruments and interesting rhythms, and give us something different every month.

I'm still lost in la-la land and trying to find my feet, and stopping by to listen to your songs will hopefully inspire me not to give up on the music altogether.

Hi George,
Thank you, I have to tell you, I was inspired by watching Gloria Estaban in concert with The Miami Sound Machine, They really rocked the house, and the grooves were so infectious I wante to do that.
Hopefully I came close.
I'm happy you liked it.
:D

Hi Dee,
Please don't EVER think about giving up!!!
You have a talent I can only wish for, and I love what you do.
I can only speak for myself, but I always get inspired watching concert videos, or even just listening to my favorite artists.
There have been many times when I just play with my synths, auditioning different drum grooves, start playing some chord rhythms, and the next thing I know, a song is born.
I truly wish you the best with your music, I for one enjoy it very much.
Thanks for the nice comments.

Regards,

hi, great tune! I second all the previous comments, I would add a little reverb to the brass too to fit them in the mix after you'll give them a little more volume.
