Remote Control Cubase

Hello,

I want to make Cubase controled by the M50, I've connected the MIDI trough USB, and chose the Cubase preset in my M50, it does nothing.

Is there anything that I have to do in Cubase to make this to work?

And, one last question, what is the difference between Gch Channel and 01G?

can't help you in getting it to work in cubase - aside from saying that you may need to set up a mixer/device in the settings somewhere.

with regards to the G and 01g:
if you specify Gch, it will always respond to the global channel, whatever you set that to in global mode. so naturally this is preferred to 01g - for example if i set the global channel to 02, timbres set to respond to 01 will stop working, and 02 will now be called 02g. if you have them set to Gch, then they would still respond to the keyboard because now they will be set internally to 02g instead of 01.

the g on the end just lets you know that it is the current global channel.

Do you mean via a USB-to-MIDI converter, or you connect the M50 to the PC via a plain USB cable? For PC connection do the latter.

A USB Cabel, From USB on the Korg, to USB on a PC...

Have you installed the MIDI drivers for the M50? You'll also have to use the 'Install Korg MIDI Device' option on your start menu once you've installed the software.
