Hel, help, help... After 5 year of pause (!) I'v deciding to play again with my old workstation Korg 01/Wfd. Yes... I know... it's so old. But I love it so much. The problem is: when I push "ON" the display write "Errore: Battery Low". Someone know what kind of buttery I must serch to change the older? And what I must to do for change the new one? I don't know where is the battery.
Second problem: the disk drive maybe is broked. I tried to open a lot of disk with original korg song, but the problem is evrytime the same: "disk error". Maybe the drive is dead. Or maybe this problem can dipende to the low battery. Many thanks to all Korg_People that will write me with goods News for me!!!!
best regards

Here's a little guide on how to change the battery - you need a simple CR2032 watch battery. You can do this yourself... just give yourself an hour or so and be careful to put the millions of screws back where they were! Also, make sure you back up all your program data (since your disk drive seems to be unreliable) via SYSX.
For the disk drive, http://www.korgparts.com/products/202/Disk-Drive.htm - I would call or email this guy before ordering on line, he probably won't charge you a full $160 for the disk drive (I emailed him a year ago, he was going to sell me one for $70). But try changing the battery first, maybe it's related to your disk drive problem. If he's not selling them anymore, just take your 01/W to a authorized Korg Service technician - I had to take my N364 in last year, he said a replacement disk drive was ridiculously expensive... and ended up just repairing the disk drive for a minimal cost.
Good luck! and be sure to post in the Korg Synths (General) forum, most of us don't check this one. The 01/W is still such a great keyboard, it's WORTH spending some bucks to maintain it, don't feel guilty.
