I have.
OK is relative. What sounds are you looking for?
I A/B'd it with my Motif ES7 and one of the bass sounds was quite identical. I wonder if both companies licensed the same sample. Since that was the one I'd been using on the Motif, it was an even switch.
I'm waiting for the IrishActs piano and Rhodes to be released. I'm not loving the Rhodes sounds on the PA2X and I would prefer a better piano as well. It sounds great on headphones, but isn't translating well live.
The biggest issue I have with the PA2X is the long boot time. Since I need the arranger features, I put up with it. If you don't need the arranger features, you might be much better off looking at another board.
There's nothing like rushing from a cocktail hour to a ceremony, and then having to wait a few minutes for the PA2X to boot, while everyone looks at you wondering why you're not yet playing.
Anyhow, to answer your question. It sounds fine, but not as good as my Kurzweil PC3.

my problem with this is that you can't apply sustain to the manual bass.Mockie wrote:Thanks Dmkeys
I appreciate your comments. By OK, I meant whether I could do a
live gig with a PA2xPRO with a manual bass.

I have a fair few setups with piano/strings in RH, and a bass sound for lower.
works for me!

Well sounds are more then ok. How good is your left hand????
I play the Pa2xPro in a band, and most of the time in split mode, but no bass parts, because we have a bass player
so it's often brass splits, or string plits or epiano splits with solo sounds or whatever i need.
