clean.pcg

Post by my2sons8791 »

I just recently bought a slightly used M3xpanded. It does not have the ram expansion (not yet). The previous owner had data in all of the program banks and I would like to clean out the data in U-G. I do not have a saved blank bank file and read somewhere about "clean.pcg". Can anyone shed some light on this? I think there are others that have had this same scenario so this may be of help to many. Thanks all in advance.

I usually simply "Transmit current Bank" from the PC M3 Editor, providing of course that the current (Prog or Combi) Bank that I am transmitting is clean.

I don't know if that is the best way of doing that, it just works for me!

Hope this helps

I believe changing the bank type from EDS to Radias and back will at least clear out any programs in the bank. I'm just not sure if it requires that you have an EXB-Radias installed before it will allow you to do so. I'm not in front of my M3, but I believe the option is under Global->Command Set Program->User Bank Type.

If there aren't a ton of Combis in the bank, you can always copy an empty bank over the existing ones.

Well, I don't have the Radias and that worked for the program banks.

Now for the combi banks (U-G). I'll try the librarian/editor for that.

Does anyone know what sound set the combi "HAMMOND B3" is from?
