Ok then.. now all I need is clear instructions on how to do the following:

1. How to obtain the M3 preset combies and programs (as mentioned in earlier posts that I can load them into the M50)

2. How do I load the programs and combies in the M50 without messing things up :)

Okay. So first of all do you have a proper SD card and a card reader in your computer? These instructions require those :)

1. You can download the M3 presets from
http://korg.com/uploads/Download/M3_Pro ... 630000.zip

So if you have a M50-88 you'll take the 88 file and otherwise take just the producer.pcg.

2. Then you load the Producer.pcg to the SD card, put the SD card into your M50 and it appears in Media mode. There you'll have this amazing feature that you can audition each of the sounds before downloading them into the M50 itself! So just select some specific Program or Combi and you can hear the actual sound when you play the keyboard.
If you want to load them then just press Load and then you can choose where to load etc.

If you have made your own sounds, I recommend that you save them to the SD before loading any M3 files or so :)

Moonshine,

Thank you so much for all the detailed instructions. I'm also thankful for the link, as I didn't find it at all during my searches. Haven't been around "sound loading" for a very very long time!

Thanks again

Hello.
Is there a reason for importing m3 sounds into m50? I was told that they are the same. Or am i wrong? Thanks a lot for any info

well, the ROM is the same, but not program and combi since M50 has less banks than the M3. so in M50 you find a subset of M3 program/combi (and maybe some program/combi developed only on M50, but i am not sure of this. e.g. all m50 synth sound are taken from M3 PCG).

so you could just pick the program/combi you like from M3 and put them in the M50 if not already present (remember that Karma features get lots and of course EXB-RADIAS program/combi do not work on M50)
