Is the X3's PSU auto switching from 100V to 220V?

Discussion relating to all other KORG synth related products that don’t have a dedicated section. For example, OASYS PCI, M1, N Series, 01W series, T series, and more…

Is the X3's PSU auto switching from 100V to 220V?

Post by soulidstate »

I just got a nice unit and was able to repair the FFD but I wish to know if I can plug in this unit which is 110V to a 220V supply.I know most of Korg's keys are auto switching like the triton and the M3.Your advise would be appreciated. Thanks

I highly doubt it but I cannot confirm this.
As far as I know KORG started using universal PSU's from the Trinity Series onwards.

Hi Sharp. I checked the power supply board and the fuse is 250V as well as the AC capacitors. I have a hunch that it is auto switching but I am cautious not to try plugging it in to 220V before I can confirm. Thanks for your comment.

Be careful. I have an X3R that I got from overseas, and it has a separate power converter to allow me to use 110 with it !!!!!!!
