Problems with STS and songbook

Post by csian »

Help me friends.
I bought my PA800 4 months ago but I cannot understand yet the function of STS in songbook, specially when I load a song. I need to choose a sound I like to play in a song, and I want to have it ready when I load the song in the songbook. I understand that I have to change the STS's sounds in Style mode before entering in songbook and then overwrite the entry in songbook in which I have put the song I like, isn't it?

How can I associate a particular sound I like to play to a song in songbook, so I have it ready to play every time I load that song?

All you have to do is this:
- make sure you select the songbook entry
- change your 4 STS's as you like with the particular song.

The result: when you open your songbook entry, the 4 corresponding STS's will be loaded.

The songbook is a very strong & useful tool!

Thanks Fransman, but I cannot understand very well what to do.

How can I change my 4 STS while I'm into songbook page?
Should I exit from it and then re-enter?

What's the different between flagging "Write current resources" or "Write STS"?

Hi csian.

Change STS in songbook: Firstly Enable song edit in the screen menu. Always, or your setting will be lost when you turn off-

You select the song in songbook then EXIT and then change your STS. Go

back to the songbook and Highlight/Select the same song, put a tick in

the sts box to sts 1/2/3/4 [repeat the procedure for each sts you wish

to change] of choice on the book edit1 Tab on screen and then press WRITE.
Save.

Hi CSIAN
"Write current resources" saves all other settings, but no STS.
"Write STS" ist storing the STS and the parameters wich belongs to them, like effects or Min, On, Harmony on, and so on. The Mic-Parameters must be stored in the VP-Presets and the VP-Effect-Programm is stored with the STS. So you can change the Mic/VH-Effects with the STS at the same time.
Best regards from germany

Please keep doing that (elaborating).
In most (Korg)-issues, it's in the details.

Cheers!
