Hi mate. I had an i30 in 1998 - 99. From what i remember it was great at what it was designed for, as an arranger.
I used it at the time as an upgrade to my i3 for backing singers and i have to say it was great. Now, compared to current arrangers it's probably a bit dated but with some tweaking you will probably have it sounding great. Sequencer on board is usual korg fair, very good and easy to use. The arranger section is great if you want that type of keyboard.
If i was buying one on ebay nowadays i'd be looking in the bargain basement section and would pay no more than £50 - £200 for one. You should pick one up for washers to be honest, i bought a Yamaha Tyros for £350 and thats a much newer keyboard (2004 i think).
At the time i had it midi'd up to a Roland G800 which gave no problems.
Anyhoo, going on a bit now, sorry.
Finishing thoughts........Good keyboard with good sounds for it's year and a touchscreen aswell, for a bargain price you can't go wrong.
Good luck,
craig.

A friend of mine is selling one in mint condition. He tells me it has only about 200 hours of on time in all it's life. Really looks like straight out of the shop new too.
A great keyboard in it's day for sure.

thankyou heaps for your responses everyone.
I have little time to make a decision on purchasing it but have heaps of question's i'd like to know the answers to..... if I could just pick your brains with few of them....??
I have a few friends who own Korg Tritons and they have some awsome sampled Bagpipe and Guerini Pianno Accordion sounds that they play with... am I able to load these sounds to use on the I30??
Also, whats it like for life performance use...?? for example, can I assign certain buttons to instantly select certain sounds so I can quickly flick from one to another while performing a song rather than scrolling through the touchscreen menu to find the sound each time I want to change??
Thankyou in advance and sorry for writting an essay.

isn't the i30 a AI2 synth? I think it uses a similar sample set to the later N-series synthesizers (i think look for the N1, N5EX, etc), I wouldn' think it shares many sounds from the Trinity or Triton (although supposedly the big piano sample is from the Trinity). It caught my interest years ago when I was hoping for an AI2-based workstation to come out from those later N's (just wasn't real impressed by the N364 that much)...if it weren't overloaded w/ "interactive" features i might have wanted one.
