HELP!! M50 Keys are out!!

Post by speedhands »

Ok so here's my problem. I have a brand new M50 88key. I've had it since Febuary. Not a single problem with it. I was playing a gig at a local theater last night. i brought it home in the case I always have it in and then when I went to set it up today i have random keys that are out! And I mean Random.

Keys like C2 , G#3, D4 , F#5 , G#5 Now I didn't drop it, no water damage, didn't rumble it around. It's never been upside down just in case you are thinking i messed up the weighted keys. So what would cause this kind of problem? Should I send it to Korg since it's under warranty? Is it software error? Please help!

Ok i believe I did a factory reset where you just hold the "Reset Controls" button. I got a "writing to internal memory" screen then some of the keys that didn't work before now work but OTHER KEYS are now broken. Any clues!??

sounds like a ribbon cable or a connector inside came loose.

Own a good set of screwdrivers?

send it to warranty repair... sounds like you have something wrong in your board... either lose cables of something worse...
