New video added: organizing favorite sounds for live use

Post by RichF »

Hi folks,

I just added another video, this one covering the ever-popular topic of organizing your favorite sounds for live use. It shows a few methods that might be useful to you.

Perhaps I didn´t listened to it well, but the advantage of these paths is that you can change combis, for example, witouht touching the screen, but using phisical buttons, up/down, dial, etc. Sometimes you have to be very accurate in live to touch the screen in the right position. Using buttons are even more confortable.

Congrats for your easy-to-learn videos.
100% hardware made. All is done in a Korg M50 internal sequencer. Now updated (7/09/12) at http://www.hispasonic.com/akmon

akmon- One of the methods I described (vertical banking) gets you away from touching the display in the way you mentioned. The other ones actually make the most of the display. Hope they're helpful.

Great video Rich. Very helpful.

If I can figure out a way to organize sequences, that seems like the ticket for me. I create a separate patch (or more) for every song - even if it's identical to a different song's patch. So for a 35 song gig, I may have 50 patches. On my Triton, I don't use combi's but progs so I'll have even more.

Without a librarian, or the ability to sort progs/combis quickly, the sequence mode looks great for a couple reasons, specifically because it doesn't use ANY prog/combi space.

Thanks again!
