If I connect my M50 to my pc Dell speakers via Line In the left is much lounder than the right. If I connect an mp3 player to my Dell speakers via Line In the left/right is balanced. I've tried the Mono L/R and the separate L/R from the M50 - same result.
Can anybody advise why the M50 seems to output way more left than right, I can 't see the setting if there is one.
Thanks
Audio output unbalanced

We'll have to wait for the Korg people to reply on this one, but I'll make a wild guess that most samples are mono, so they come out of the L/MONO output. Stereo patches would be balanced.
That is a bit odd, because I thing they should be balanced all the same, no matter if the sample is mono or stereo.
Lets just wait for an educated answer

I´ve conected my Korg to Fujitsu-Siemens laptop via line-in. I plug my headphones in the laptop, and it sounds balanced, distorted but balanced.
I´ve used this simple conection just to record to .wav or .mp3 the songs on my sequencer. Then using Audacity freeware I perfom some effects on the record. But I´ve never noticed unbalanced sounds.
Strange.
I supose you can hear the sounds well on your near field monitors, no?

100% hardware made. All is done in a Korg M50 internal sequencer. Now updated (7/09/12) at http://www.hispasonic.com/akmon

I'm sure it's a mono/stereo thing. Which output are you using? The headphone output would probably be what you want if you're inputting into a Soundblaster like that (though ideally you'd have a proper audio interface with at least two inputs, so you can record in proper stereo).
