MIDI Song Playalong

Post by mocando »

We (my son in the drums and I) like to play our favorite songs using the sequencer on my PA 50, and just muting the drums and keyboard tracks, but leaving everything else playing. The PA 50 have a dedicated volume slider for the sequencers, so the song won't play so loud that my performance is not heard.
Now with the M50 I have found no way of either adjusting the whole midi tracks volume at once nor selecting differents programs, or combis, which would be more desirable, while playing a midi file.

Is that possible?

Thanks
Martin Ocando

I believe you can do this by individually muting the midi tracks.
You can also reduce / increase volume for individual midi tracks i guess.

I´ve no other answer that going to the mixer page, and selecting each midi track and using the slider.

Other thing could be programming a control change in the midi track (CC #7) to increase or decrease the volume automatically.
100% hardware made. All is done in a Korg M50 internal sequencer. Now updated (7/09/12) at http://www.hispasonic.com/akmon
