Digi Piano pedal as switch?

Post by BigMrC »

Just bought the M50, hooked it via midi to my existing Yamaha CLP-170. Can the yamaha's pedals be used as a switch for the M50 somehow or is there no other option but to buy a foot switch for the M50.
Thanks to anybody that can help.

If the Yamaha's pedals are sending MIDI messages with the same CC number that the M50 expects to use for the switch, or if you can change settings on the CLP-170 so that this is the case, then you should be able to do so.

Thanks, any idea how I'd actually work that out - I can't see many options going through the M50 or yamaha midi settings.
