X3 is distorting in all programs and Combi's

X3 is distorting in all programs and Combi's

Hi Folks,
My X3 is distorting in all programs and Combi's. It's almost like an O-drive effect is on all the sounds. Brought it in to my local repair guy, A Korg warranty repair tech. and he basically told me there was nothing he could do! HUH?! I've recently upgraded to a M50-88 but I loved my X3 and I'd really like to get it repaired. Has anyone heard of this or similar problems? Any advice would be much appreciated!
