Loading Akai samples on Korg instruments

Post by Mockie »

Hi Folks

I'm very keen on getting a Pa2x pro. It has brilliant sounds and styles .
I read it can take Akai samples and I am wondering if anyone has
actually loaded any Akai samples on this board.
I have heard demos of Akai brass samples and they are amazing.

Hello!

I have done this job with my PA800.

If you have USB CD Rom you can directly connect it with keyboard and load samples from AKAI disks, BUT, this is not the best way because akai samples are large.

I think better way, and that was my way, is to load akai samples in software called AWAVE and then optimize samples. If you just change samples from 44100 Mhz to 22050 you will save double space and then save them in KMP extension.
Then load this multisamples via usb stick.

You can hear my drums from akai here:
