Search Facility in Global Mode

Post by mf_blues »

I just thought it might be a good idea if korg were to add a search facility into the Global page, I'm always having problems finding Combis and Sounds when browsing.

If there was a search facility where by you just type the name or part of it then choose Combi or Program it would make life a lot easier when trying to find sounds.

Unless there's one already there and I've just missed it.

What do you folks think.?

cheers

Yes, I'd like this as well....if it was easy to use.

Not sure how it'd work, though: something like hold Enter + Prog or Enter + Combi and then some way of typing letters. Obvious approach would be telephone-style text entry using the numeric keypad....or it might be fun to use the actual keyboard itself but those aren't labeled for this.

StA:
Good idea...i have the same problem too...T____T
Hold Enter + prog = program search box appear with M3's virtual keypad
Hold Enter + combi = combi search box appear...
and if we input the text box with "a"...the program/combi name is filtered by the name with letter "a" in the beginning..
like searching a phone book in a mobile phone :D

hard work, Korg :)

Stefanus:

You're right -- totally forgot about the on-screen keyboard. Suddenly this seems much easier to implement...so until Korg gives us this search function I will be completely disappointed with my M3.
