Resetting the Microkorg to factory?

Post by Benjamin Charles »

Hi there,

Can anyone help me, I am a complete newb and have no idea how to set my microkorg back to it's original factory settings?

i.e the global, midi all of it... as in when I got it out the box factory settings!

Any help much appreciated.

Cheers

Hello there,

Turn off the Memory Protect (SHIFT + 8) Turn the 1st Knob to "OFF"

To restore GLOBAL = (SHIFT + 7) turn 1st Knob to "GLb" press 7 again

To restore ALL PROGRAMS = (SHIFT +7) turn 1st Knob to "Pr9" press 7 again.

That should do the trick (It's on Page 63 of the Manual)

Regards, Paul

Ah cheers Paul,

thats just what I was after, just wanted the re-assurance that if I went and messed it all up I could get back!

Thanks,

Anyone notice that restoring the factory patches does not restore the names of the patches? You can't tell just by using the mk, but when it is hooked up to a computer for use with the librarian software it becomes apparent.

After restoring factory patches and using the Mac editor all the patches are nameless... Not a big deal just wondering if anyone else encountered this.

Hello all.
I'd like to ask a question.
What happens to the demo songs when restoring the factory settings?
Are they erased?

is there any way to erase them or record new ones?

Ps.. actually these are 2 questions...lol
and one more. has anyone confirmed the patches' names deletion?
