Hello Tommy,
Thank you very much indeed for the link to manual! Just finished a double sided color print and put in the comb binding machine to finish it off!

Has anyone tried the 'search' function as yet. There is supposed to be a small magnifying glass for example on the Songbook page. On mine nothing is evident. Anyone else noticed this or have I missed something here? :?

Been trying out the voices and the overall sound is great :D

Hi Guys,

I would like to switch to the new OS 2.0 on my PA800,
but as I have a show in december, I would like to be sure that I will keep all my user styles, sounds, samples, songbook.

Will I lose all that by upgrading to OS 2.0 ? How to do a reliable backup and be sure not to lose anything ?

Thanks for your help.

Hi vip, This is what I did prior to loading OS2 on my pa2x and I reloaded all the saved parts that I needed to after the Install. Everything is as it should be. All my 'custom' song styles, voices, pads etc. are OK. No problems at all.

Go to Media page
Go to ''SAVE''
Highlight ''ALL'' Folder
Press ''SAVE TO''
Then choose H'D
Then ''New Set''
Name your Set using the 'Text' String
to the ''Save all page''
tick all relevant Box's
Then ''OK''
Are you sure ''YES''
All your styles, sounds, pads, songbook will be saved for retrieval later.

This is at your own Risk as I'm a 'Newbie to Korg' for a few weeks only so I'm just finding my way around everything, however, it worked OK for me..........

I hope someone more knowlegable on the Forum confirms this for us as I wouldn't want you to have problems. However, it won't do any harm to save everything as a Backup in this manner :o
EDIT:
says this on the Korg Site
Note: After installing this new Operating System, please also load the new Musical Resources (2.0). This is mandatory with this OS version. If the User area contains custom data, please save them to a storage device (by using a Save > All operation) before loading the new resources.

I am just wondering, is any of you guys actually doing anything on the machine
or you just use it as it comes Factory Set?
Is anyone using User Drum Kits at all?

Nedim, what happened with that drum user mapping confusion finally? What was the final conclusion on that?

i do Nedim, and there is no problem at all. I have tried it with 3 different 64mb sets and all are the same as they were before. Are you sure that you have resaved/rewrited your drum kits before? I did it to all multi samples and then programs and after it all DK's when i load them for first time in my Pa800(os 1,6).

Its not a conclusion at all, it is a confirmed Bug, by at least 15 users by now
but its sad that at THIS forum noone actually uses the synths to do something.

Hi A.K. I loaded these files and everything seems to be right, I think other than I can't find the seach facility on my songbook page. No doubt I'll find it later when I've played more with it!

Install with Pa2x_os_v200.zip (6.8 MB)

Install Pa2x_res_v200.zip (7.8 MB) :?

The Drum kits. Ah yes. I'll certainly have a look at those :D

I understand Sina but we are talking about OS 2.0 now, the Factory Drum
Samples are displaced in ROM and no USER KIT work anymore in OS 2.0.
There is no problem with Sampled Kits.

Nedim,

I had several User DK's. But I don't currently have a Pa2x.

Cheers,

Rob, i have 64 User Dk's and a 900$ commercial set is 99% based on them.
Right now its a useless Set with OS 2.0 or the OS is useless with my set.
Lets see what happens.
