I recommend splitting the keyboard.

I have many songs that use two different patches, so I put one on the upper register, and one on the lower, it can get a little tricky, but the proceedure is explained pretty well in he manual...I know, I was shocked also, but I found a Combi split patch like Combi B 49 Horns & Strings ( I have a TR, this may be different, but it's in the Lead Split category) and go through the MENU to see what they've done there, it's a very cool feature.
Good luck, and let me know if you get stuck, I'll check back a little later, or maybe someone else can chime in here.

I use the copy to sequencer function, setting up the different sounds in order in different 'songs' in the sequencer (000, 001, 002 etc). I don't actually play the sequencer, just use it to have songs and combis in order (then i save each set of sounds for a song to a diffferent file on the memory card).

so when playing, i can advance to the next sound by pressing the 'inc' button.

X-Trade is absolutely right, the easiest way to organize your programs and combis is copy to song. Songs become "favorites" bank where combis and single programs coexist side by side. It's very easy to recall the sound you need by pressing song's number, then Enter.

You could try WRITING the program on BANK D which has User free programs starting from program number 64.... Write all of the programs that you use one next to the other, then all you have to do is press the up or down key and not change banks....

I do that when im playing, and sometimes i even have to use 3 instruments on the same song... It works for me!

Good luck :o

copy them to the same bank within the same "ten" and use 10's Hold function... for example if there's free room in your D bank in as someone said copy piano to D70 and strings to D71. Then activate 10's Hold and you can choose those sounds with just pressing 0 or 1 on your numpad. this way you can easily switch between ten sounds with 0-9

just wanted to comment here that I might have even 5 different sounds in one song and about 10 program switches :D and I'm using my assignable pedal to program up through sounds... and for like five or six songs my combi A bank was half full :D
