creating control data problem

Post by paulshire »

Thanks in advance because i can't find answer in manuals. I have used create control data (#7 volume) to 'fade out' the volume (100 down to one) of a horn part i'm using in a song. I've set the data to change for 2 measures only. It works perfectly for the 2 measures HOWEVER the mixer fader stays down at zero for the remainder of the song and i'd like it to return to its' previously un-"data contolled position" for the remainder of the song.

thanks so much

Hello
You basically have to create a new control change to return the
volume back to a previous number, otherwise it will remain at zero.

I would suggest creating a control change at the measure where you
want the volume slider to rise.
:D

Thanks Tritex4, it works - sure does seem like a lot of work though.
