I hope this afternoon to demo the M50.
Anyway, I want to share with the forumers my "a priori" ideas about the most important "good and bad" of this workstation, which is indeed something new in the budget workstation market.
The good:
- same rompler engine of the "almost-flagship" ws, the M3 (same sounds! except maybe for D/A final conversion)
- programmable arpeggiator (compared to the M3 )
- same sequencer of M3
- finally, empty slots for user sounds

The bad:
- no aftertouch: this is IMHO the major flaw (I don't care for sampling option), because aftertouch is an unreplaceable expression tool.
I have in these days the idea to downgrade from the M3 to the M50, because I use the M3 very little, and for what I do or will do M50 will suffice. But this aftertouch things really stop me in doing this.
Your opinion?
