Where is fuse on D1600 MkII ?

Post by gmeades »

Does anyone know how to replace a fuse on a Korg D1600 MkII...?
I shut the unit off after a session, and the next time I tried to turn it on...the LCD screen does not light up. The power button shows lit, but no fan, no LCD, and no other sign of life. I wrote to Korg support and they said it sounds like a fuse, but I don't see how to access any fuse. I'm pretty good with repairing things, in general, and can certainly change a fuse...if I can only locate it. Anyone have any information on where the fuse is located on this unit...? Thanks...

This is as close to an answer as I can find. The fuse has to be soldered in. Not sure where to find the fuse inside. I did this search at studiotrax. You won't find a more informed group on Korg recorders. Good luck!
