Hi
Whenever I go into Redrum in Reason 3 I have to use my pads to in put the drum hits. Anyone know how I can use the Keys instead?
Cheers

How do you have the MK set up in Reason? (MIDI Keyboard with controllers, Control surface, etc)
Which version of Reason?
It's all MIDI notes, so I'm not sure why you're not able to trigger, unless REDRUM happens to be set up for MIDI notes that aren't in the octave you're MK is set to. Did you try different octaves?

Thank you for this, it has been driving me nuts, for some reason my MK keys just stopped responding & would only play via the pads.screaminkeys wrote:How do you have the MK set up in Reason? (MIDI Keyboard with controllers, Control surface, etc)

When tapping the MK keys (using Reason 4) in Redrum mode each Redrum channel was silent & displaying the 'Mute' icon at the top. Tried just about everything to remove it until I came here to you guys.
Using the Octave Shift buttons I can now play each hit using the first 10 keys, but I cant map across the entire keyboard range.
Do you know what would have caused this problem in the first place?
Also, is there a reset button or option available on the MK to reset back to the factory settings & so delete any unwanted patterns do you know.
Many thanks

ReDrum can't map across the whole keboard range. It only offers 10 sounds at a time. So you're ok.
You'd have to switch to NNXT and place your own samples to map across the whole keyboard.
Octaves above and below the note range access MIDI mapped features in ReDrum as you're experiencing. Nothing wrong there.
Loading the preset file with the editor librarian will bring the MK back to its normal state.
Hope this helps.
