just a question (non-english mothertounge): what do you mean with:

"take it over to your M3 and follow the directions Korg provides to a "T"" ?

and why update needs to be done twice? (curiosity)
The expression "to a T" means "follow it exactly".

The update needs to be done twice, because the first update brings it up to v2.0, which is then able to handle the second update, which XPands the PCM and programs. If you only run it once, you will be at 2.0, but not "XPanded."

They did it again!

Korg has definitely done it again with an update that is fantastic. I have been playing around with the new update/expansion for the last couple of hours and all I can say is wow. I have been a critic in the past of the Brass/Woodwinds sounds from Korg and I will tell you they got it right this time! There is a lot there and it will be a long while before I get through all of it.

For those who are criticizing Korgs "free update" I would ask yourself this. Is there any other Keyboard/Musical Instrument company that has supported their keyboards as well as Korg has supported this one? I don't think so. I have a Yamaha Motif that never got supported even close my M3 or Triton Studio. Oh by the way, to remind you, it all has been for free. No one ever will get every little thing they desire from an update but if you look at the big picture, it's an amazing update, and who knew it was coming? Thanks KORG!

OK, after reading here on KF and on Karma-Labs, I'm still a bit confused on one point: do the Drum Track assignments need to be fixed ONLY for custom prog's & combi's, or for ALL prog's & combi's including the factory ones? It sounds like only custom ones, I hope it's not all.

I've downloaded the updates but am holding off for a couple days while I research issues & things to consider on these boards before doing the update, and also, 'cause I haven't had a good enough chunk of time this week to sit and go through the whole process and play the sounds. The wait is killing me! :) I love the mp3 demos of the new stuff, especially the new brass sounds!!! 8) I have been hoping for some new brass samples since that's one of the few areas I felt needed improvement. For example, we had great smooth French Horns or brass ensembles, but no horns with real forte-type bite. It sounds like this has been largely corrected!

So, even though I haven't actually installed the updates yet, I know I can still say a HUGE thank you to the folks at Korg, and Jerry, & Stephen!!! And the fact that we have gotten three EX-USB-PCM's for FREE is OUTSTANDING! Thank you very, very much for this gift!

Thanks,

All of the included factory programs/combis are fixed. It's only the custom ones (once Korg USA releases the fixed Radias Combis).

Can someone direct me to the updated Xpanded Operation Guide.pdf, I can't seem to locate it. (It seems to be the original one in the download - and the supplementary guide has references to an updated Op guide)

Hi!

If I'm not wrong, I've seen somewhere that the Upgrade package has to be fixed...
Jerry, please, can you tell us when it's ready to go? (both Radias and M3 XPanded)

Great news then!! :D Thanks for clarifying that, Stephen!

The upgrade and the 128 RADIAS+EDS Combis files are OK. The only file left from my world is the RADIAS V2 file.

You will have to convert any of your personal Combis and Songs, as has been discussed here and at Karma-Lab.

OK?

Hi Jerry!

Thanks for the infos.
I remember I red somewhere that you had to fix something on the "big" package containing the new OS, the new ROM samples and the 3 expansion packs...
If I'm wrong, ignore this post

Thanks a lot

LOL, if I just ignore it you might be wondering/waiting for me to either respond, or not... what an existential dilemma!!

The OS download on our site is fine, no problems!

Best regards,

OK, I did a search for this before asking: What bank do the PCM03 programs load into? I have all of the three PCM banks preset to auto-load.

On a side note - I don't believe I got all of the banks that are listed in the new Voice Name List, even though I ran the update twice and both updates appeared to work as described. For example, My Int banks are only populated A through C, and some of the User banks are not there either. They say Init (something or other) when selected.

BTW, the new Combi-001 (Toward the Sun-EX) is even more amazing than before. It was the first new sound I heard and I was very impressed. Another one that I really think I can have some fun with is Int C-33 (Composers ending in -sky).
