I believe that it must. It's got the M3 programs in it, they all respond to aftertouch, so I would assume that just because the M50 keybed doesn't generate it, doesn't mean it won't respond to it. Korg keyboards without ribbons respond to ribbon. (CC16).

In fact, I have an M50 sitting here, and I just checked some of the AMS modulation parameters, they are all the same as the M3, meaning that Aftertouch shows up in the list, so YES, it can respond to aftertouch.

The TR has it!
Correct, no aftertouch in the M50. It is based on a different keybed than the TR.

But when you make these comparisons please note where we put all the money/cost for the M50 as compared to the TR:

4x the ROM
larger touchView interface
improved synthesis and the full effects (not just 1 insert FX)

Of course there are more features as well, but I'm not trying to "spin" you with all the Marketing-speak I am capable of...

Jerry
Jerry, wasn't it possible to sell this for 100 bucks more but with aftertouch?

M50 = Juno stage but without mic in. And also just 61 or 88 keys.
I wonder if it is possible to save the position of real time controllers. If still not than burn in hell.

I think that also withouth aftertouch and some other things the M50 is a great keyboard and if I didn't had already the M3 I will buy it for sure!
Ok, Roland Juno-G has this and that, but remember that the M50 has the same engine of the M3, same sounds. And they are the sound of a flagship keyboard.

Oh, by the way, what price for the M50? ;) If it costs like the TR it will be a bargain. :)

I'm sure it was possible, but then, there are also other features missing which would probably require another 100 bucks bump or more.
In my country the Le and TR were/are extremely popular as gigging keyboards because they delivered for half of the price the triton sound and (most important), they could load user samples which is a must in my country for covering the ethnic music style.
And I'm absolutely sure that here the M50 will nowhere near sell as good as the Le or TR did.
So anybody of us has a feature request which we consider as a must, but at the end we get what we get.
