Thanks Sharp,

I was going to reply to his message saying that his replies were totally pointless, but then I decided I wouldnt waste any more time trying to debate a point of view with someone who was obviously just on a wind up and had no intention of any serious discussion. So thanks for banning him and saving us all from wasting more valuable time :)

Then how serious are you? ](*,)

Take this question from somebody who had NO JOB, NO MONEY, NOT EVEN A PENNY TO HIS NAME a year ago! And I STILL managed to get an OASYS! I had one year, no payments, no interest with an unheard of $7500 credit line that I got approved for and ended up paying it off in LESS than 3 months!

JESUS GOD! SO WHAT IF ITS $7,000!!!! ARE YOU GONNA WHINE ABOUT IT HERE, OR ARE YOU GONNA HAVE THE COURAGE TO GET AN INSTRUMENT THAT WILL INSPIRE YOU TO CREATE INCREDIBLE MUSIC FOR YEARS TO COME!

HOW SERIOUS ARE YOU?!

I think that Sina is just sick of people complaining about the price.

As somebody else has said previously, people don't complain about the price of a Ferrari, or Aston Martin. They just know they will never be able to afford one, and accept it.

Where the Ferrari or Aston are not cars for the masses, the Oasys is also not an instrument for the masses. You can either afford one, or you can't.

That is the reason why there are other instruments half the price like the M3, Fantom G, or Yamaha Motif XS.

If you say you can pay $4500 in a few months, why not wait another couple of months, and save $7500, then you can get the Oasys. :)

If the Lamborghini Murcielago cost $4500 it would be easier to buy and I'd pick one up for sure in a few months...

I know, I'm going to jump on all the Lamborghini forums and whine about the hideously expensive cost of their motor vehicles. I'm sure they never put in any more effort than Kia just like Korg never put in any more effort than Casio.
But the Korg Oasys is NOT even close to a Lamborghini. It is rather a 1948 Pontiac with a 2000 Lamborgini price. That is why we complain about the price. The Oasys offers very few things and NOT in the best quality. Its sequencer is useless with a pitiful number of midi and audio tracks. Its sounds are not even close to Libraries such as the Eastwest Symphonic Orchestra or Choirs.
The Korg Oasys with its today features should cost no more than 2,500 US Dollars.

And remember this:
IF the Korg Oasys offered me a 128 midi track sequencer like Roland's Fantom G or even better, pianos better than the Kurzweil's, symphonic sounds better than the Eastwest's, Drums and Basses and Atmospheric-Pad Sounds better than the Spectrasonics's, THEN I would be the FIRST to pay 11,000 US Dollars. And as I previously said, I always pay in cash no matter how much money I have to pay.

The only people who constantly Bitch about the Price are (a). those who either can't afford it,yet have a desire to own one,or
(b). those who are not a fan of Anything Korg, and are inferior to anything they produce.

If you have so much money then why don't you buy all those devices you mentioned and Quit complaining about the Lack of this or that on the Oasys
Its good that your doing a little research as to what it has or whether it meets your criteria, but this appears more like you want one and are trying to subconsciously justify to yourself its price tag,the only thing that the Oasys lacks for me is a decent sequencer and thats it everything else is worthy of the price,I have to use an outboard Sequencer, which works in tandem with the Oasys and its a wonderful partnership.

Those of us who own one will appreciate what it has or lacks.. You will never find one device that fits all your needs/Wants/wishlist,either in a $7,000 workstation or a $10,000 software setup.

The Oasys obviously doesn't fit your criteria or Budget, walk on by and find something that does,if Moneys no object then find a solution that does fit your needs
why are you still trying to justify the Price of the oasys!seems like you fit into the first analogy of Oasys haters, even though you like to socially show off you have cash, which is normally the total opposite or the stance of an arrogant ego.

In my view GiveItATry seems to put considerable time and effort on non constructive criticism. While he at first seemed genuinely interested, he has now written several messages that I consider trolling.

The OASYS sequencer its not the best it could be implemented in an instrument like this, may need an update, etc,.. thats true,
but what its not tue in *any* way is the statement above.
Its not "useless".
Some of us use it everyday.

See...I think post like this could in fact be useful for the user comunity, but, dude, with every post you do, you loose all credibity and honesty you could have when the thread began.
:? Sad.

This thread leads nowhere ...

Complaining on prices is a strange habit in itself as long as you're not forced to buy it (because otherwise you would cease to exist, become seriously ill etc.). In the case of music instruments no one will ever experience such a force.

GiveItATry doesn't want to give it a try. And no one owning an Oasys and not willing to sell it right now will regard an Oasys as "not worth the money". Well - that's it. Sharp, I think you can close this thread. 8)
