Korg T3 help

Post by sintrade »

Man, I have been posting this in all the wrong places!! Hopefully someone here can help. I have a question about the Korg T3, but T1 or T2 users might be able to help.
I want to take advantage of the 2 stereo outputs in the back of the unit. In a Combo mode, I want drums to come out stereo 1L & 2R, and piano out of 3 & 4. I've tried the pans C&D etc, but when it goes into my recorder (aw16g) the sounds are not separated. How are you supposed to assign a voices to these outputs? Is this even possible? If not, why are there 4 outputs on the back? Thanks

Hi there, if my memory serves right, you should pan the drum sounds from within the drum kit editor section, in global mode.

cheers

Thanks for your response but that's not it. I need the four outputs of the T3 to go into four separate inputs of the digital recorder. For example:

Stereo piano coming out of the T3 onto tracks 1 & 2 of the recorder.
Bass coming out of the T3 via output 3 going onto track 3 of recorder.
Slap bass out T3 via output 4 going onto track 4 of recorder.

The problem is assigning outputs to the instruments. No matter how I assign them (a, b, c, d, c+d, etc) all the instruments can still be heard on tracks 1 & 2 of the recorder. Maybe none of this is even possible!
