Help !!! my emx1 doesn't want to start and switch !!!

Post by Suburbass »

Hi,I play with my Korg since more than 5 years, every weekend, everywhere in Europe and away...so quite a lot of time...
but yesterday, before to play,I switch on my 2 machines (Korg exs1 and emx1)
but the EMX! didn't want to start and nothing appaer on the screen, any leds blinking...just lamp are active and lighty empty screen !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I tried before every thing as change the power supply or switch on and off and on !!!...but NO WAY...
anyway I saved my almost lastest work but not 5 lastest patterns I made and next weekend I have to go to play as all every next but don't know what I should to do and think :

-it's maybe the case when a lamp is dead???
-or a electric shock ??
-should I buy now a new one????

please help me,I'm sure somebody get the same problem

great,I hope it's only this...

just a little question...how I can see which fuse are dead? and these fuse are easy to find (I guess yes...) but which reference??

and can I do it by myself or better to ask a service...?

and which kind of service? an electronic stuff service can be enough?

The guide i gave you a link for in the above post is pretty well written, you should be able to find the fuse. If not there is another picture further down which has an arrow that points at the fuse you need to change.
You can buy a replacement fuse, or just solder a wire across the connection. My friend di it on his, and he said it was pretty easy.
