Korg R3 doesn't work

Post by Daymon »

Hi everyone,

I've just bought a new Korg R3 but when I switch it on, I have red blinking lights on the screens and nothing happens ! I've read the manual but found nothing about that. Am I stupid or am I missing somethig ?
I'm afraid of the worst... firmware error ???

Somebody can help me please ?

Thank you

You should be able to start playing right away. Try it out with your headphones so that you'll know for sure whether or not it's the R3.

I've already plugged in my headphones but all I heared was some "clicks" noises every time the lights went on and off...

I tried resetting factory settings by pushing the "shift" + "7" buttons but it does nothing.

I also tried pluggin the R3 to my computer through the USB port but when I install the midi-usb driver it says "no device connected".

I'm quite disappointed I have to send it back to the store before being able to hear anything from it. Honestly I think I'll just ask for a refund because it doesn't seem very reliable. Are the R3 at least factory tested?? Maybe it suffered from the transport and as I planned to take it everywhere I go I need something solid and I don't want this kind of thing to happen again so...

Check the Power Adapter for fuses....it sounds like the wrong adapter...

You were right, the problem came from the power adapter... Waiting for a new one.
