Electric Guitar input for EMX-1??

Post by newsynth »

I am fairly new to this whole synthesizer game and was wondering if the new EMX-1 I just got is capable of plugging an electric guitar into. Since I have been playing guitar for much, much longer than I have been using any synthesizer for. Any help that anyone can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, the EMX has a 1/4" input. I plug my guitar in sometimes. You can use all the effects in the effects engine section on the guitar sound. Distortion, phaser, pitch adjust, etc etc... You can even layter up to 3 different effects on top of each other at the same time. So you could have say, Phaser, Distortion, and Reverb all at once!! So you have a lot to mess with. You can also just plug a MIC into it too and do all those effects real time on your voice as well. Fun way to kill some time messin' around. :D

But if you asking if you can trigger notes on the EMX?? No it doesn't work that way, you'd have to get a MIDI guitar of some sort.
Back in my day, we didn't have water. We only had Oxygen and Hydrogen, and we'd have to just shove them together.
