Korg Zero 8 Master Clock

Post by Onemanband »

I recently joined the world of Korg Zero 8 owners and have been using it with Ableton Live 7.

I use the Korg Zero 8's master clock sync to Live 7. Most of the time it works a treat but occasionally it slips out of beat or worse still suddenly causes Live to jump to 999 bpm. Once it's had a slip or jump of tempo, I must turn it off an on again for it too function reliably again.

Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know ways to prevent this from happening? I've not yet played out with this but if the tempo was to suddenly jump to 999 during a heavy passage of a track, I think it might possibly kill someone!

I currently have no other midi devices plugged into the korg 8, so it doesn't seem to be a conflicting midi message.

Could this be a ableton problem?

Does anyone else use their zero 8 as master clock with live?

Is there a way around this?
