When is programming ever a simple matter? Dan, care to comment? (just kidding).Rubbish --- this presumes that it's not possible to have a "live view" mode. It would be a simple matter of programming...

I just confirmed this morning that this can be done. You need to record your Bank/Program Change messages or Sysex Automation to a normal MIDI track and then copy that to a pattern. A little editing to ensure the messages are at the beginning of the pattern is necessary. Program Change messages will only change the Program for the channel/track to which the pattern is assigned, but sysex will always change the Program track for the track from which the change was recorded. The problem with using sysex is that you have no idea what the sysex actually means so it's not brilliantly easy to work with. Korg really need to add even just the most basic annotation or hint into the MIDI Event Editor to let you see what these messages are. Adding the ability to insert messages into the sequence data would be useful too, much like the Motif is able to.Daz wrote:I did mention before that it might be possible to do this using RPPR patterns containing sysex or PC you pre-recorded. Not sure if that works, but it's a thought.
So lets all ignore experts because they buy gear from a manufacturer and so their professional opinion no longer counts? This is ludicrous. I think you have failed to do even the slightest bit of research on Jordan. Go trash talk musicians elsewhere.dhjdhj wrote:In this particular case, a claim was made that Rudess said something nice about Korg...Rudess has a relationship with Korg therefore one cannot assume without more questioning (which is what I did) that his statement is unbiased.
Oh dry your eyes, princess. And learn some time management skills.dhjdhj wrote: The trouble is, this presumes that one has the ability to work on the keyboard all day every day. Those of us who have other jobs and only have time to dabble from time to time don't have that benefit.
