Dont the PA2XPRO have HD inside? Or just get a regular CD player, you
dont need to connect it to pa2x.

Hi lika

As you will see almost 90% of standard external CD/DVD recorder/readers have an output jack for headphones you can connect it directly to the input jack of your pa2XPRO and as soon as the audio CD placed in the drive it will play it automatically

You have more choices to doing this if you could not do this way just Email me I will explain it for you because it is a little bit more technical but it is not difficult

good luck

Yes faraz you are right, it is possible to just play the CDs off the external player.

BUT..

What about the crossfading? the fade in/out ?
