Vista not Reading my R3? PLEASE HELP!

Post by Awdio »

I just bought my R3, Im running Vista. I have Downloaded the drivers for MIDI and Editor ( I think I have the right ones), and I cannot get My comp to see the R3. Im plugging it in Via Usb. When you normally plug in something usb, like a jump drive, it makes a 2 tone sounds like doo da!, but when i plug this in, it goes doo doo!, like, 2 low beeps indicating that it cant read the device. I have FL Studio 8 XXL just for the record, in case that can help here or something. PLEASE HELP!

I HAVE TO UNINSTALL AND REINSTALL A COUPLE TIMES BEFORE IT WAS RECOGNIZED. NOW IT WORKS MOST OF THE TIME, BUT I HAVE A COMP WITH XP THAT RECOGNIZES IT EVERYTIME.

(MAKE SURE THE USB IS PLUGGED IN AND POWERED ON BEFORE YOU START YOUR SOFTWARE PROGRAM)

The reason is, Korg's USB MIDI driver is not Vista Compatible. That's all there is to it. I had to stop using it, and plug my R3 into an M-Audio MIDISport. Same thing with the PadKontrol. :x
