configuring an m-audio trigger finger to an esx-1

Post by oil_can »

hello all, new to this forum and was hoping to get some help configuring my trigger finger to my esx-1. after some trial and much error, i was able to match the drum parts/audio in to the trigger finger's drum pads by setting them one octave apart (ex. F#3 on trigger finger to F#4 on esx-1) but i've yet to have any luck with the cc #'s. anyone done this before and have any advice?? much appreciated,

well first things first.... it's not cc messages on the esx, they are actually NRPN messages which is actually sets of four cc messages(I'm pretty sure the trigger finger can do NRPN's if I remember correctly I'll look into this)...

on the korg website under support for esx there's a midi implimentation document which tells you which nrpn messages are used on which knobs.

pardon my ignorance but i'm still not on the level when it comes to assigning the knobs on my trigger finger to control knobs on my esx-1. specifically, right now i'm trying to assign fader 1 on the trigger finger to be the cutoff on the esx-1, can someone please help?? thanks very much,
