canada rebate for m3 88 keys

Post by musahsio »

Hi,
Just picked up the m3 today march 29.
Does anyone know if the rebate is if you make the purchase before march 31. Or is that the date that the rebate must be sent in to korg? 31st is on Monday and theres no way I would be able to get the rebate there in time.

Also, I picked up the floor model, which I will get a new one once it comes in. Do you guys know if there will be any problem with processing the rebate?

Thanks
Steve

i don't think you should have a problem with getting a rebate on a demo model.
All the best

I was under the impression that your receipt had to be dated no later than March 31st.

I would think that you need have a receipt dated before or by March 31st 2008.

Given its similararity to the Korg USA promotion, I would interpret the dates as "qualifying purchase dates". As long as you have a sales receipt dated March 31st or earlier, you should have no problem.

From a manufacturer's perspective, retail floor demo units are considered "new", identical to a boxed unit, and therefore have the same product warranty and promotion eligibility. Manufacturers and Distributors do this to encourage retail stores to put units on display. If the retail store were "penalized" by demo units, stores would be reluctant to put them out.

You will NOT be able to send in your rebate form now, since the form requires you to submit a Serial Number. I would talk to the store to make sure:
1. they will swap out for a "never used before" unit within a short period of time (you want to get the rebate form in as soon as possible)
2. Absolutely make sure you have a Sales Receipt with the correct (March 31st or earlier date on it). Hopefully the store won't create a second receipt when the new unit arrives.
