Do you guys think the used one is the preferable offer or just go ahead and get it new for $7000? I just want to hear some of your opinions.
$7,000 for a brand new OASYS is great price, but $1,500 is a lot of money especially if the used unit is in good shape. With a new unit in the U.S. if you register on-line you would have a 2 year warranty.
One other point: If you buy a new OASYS 88 make sure its Serial Number is #1040 or higher. OASYS 76 (# 1-890) and OASYS 88 (# 1-1040) have a problem if you add the EXB-DI ADAT board (no longer manufactured due to parts availability) and if you clock from an external digital clock. The required repair is free, but you would have to take your keyboard to the shop. If you are buying new, it is easiest to simply get a newer unit.

This is not exactly correct. Any Korg product that needed repair would be taken to an Authorized Korg Service Center:

Depending on the uniqueness of the problem, the parts would be sourced from either Korg USA or Korg Japan. If parts were required from Japan it might take a few weeks or a month for the parts to arrive.
