hello brother tariq

ok, as far as my experience goes with arranger, PA800 is a perfect arranger, its light weighted "time slice" and guitar mode is gr8, most of the sounds are very up to date, drum kits are very modern and clean, almost every instrument of pa800 is more than what a musician can ask for, as far as being very creative , you can create all your own beats, sounds and more..

but some people have some software problems with it and some people have some other issues with it, overall we CAN fix most of its problems....

i guess the main reason some people don't like pa800 is becoz of the cheap keys that KORG used for pa800 and its NOT 76 key....for me its all good coz it don't make much of a difference, but some PRO musicians don't like the idea of cheap keys as well as 61 keys...and some musicians don't travel alot, so korg pa1zx and pa2x definitely look more PRO, but what PA800 does for me, its more than what can ask for...so
conclusion is middle eastern people might be more comfortable with pa800 and eastern Europeans might prefer pa2x...

sounds a bit weird ha?

ok, in middle eastern music we have some unique style of playing , which involves the use or 2 or 3 keys in one strok or in one hit, now if the keyboard is weighted keys or semi weighted keys, then its gonna be hard for us to produce that natural sounds of a wooden flute and etc...

Salam Qader Jan,

You are absolutely right about the key stroke issue. I know it feels a bit different when playing on the Pa1Xpro because of the hammer action feature and I personally was not really impressed with the slightly longer hammer action. However, I loved and still do the feel of the Korg I30's keys it is like Korg Triton and Trinity. I wish Korg would have used the same keys for Korg Pa50, 60, 80 and 800. It would have been really nice. Also as you mentioned the Issue of the size of the Keyboard..... Yessssss it is not really good for travel since it is very heavy and big. It would be really nice if Korg could come up with a Keyboard with the capabilities like how Roland Fantom and Roland XP once was with those Expansion Boards. I remember when I bought my Roland XP60, I also bought all the 18 expansion boards and it is like a library of sounds from west to east and even sounds that is not natural meaning electronically designed futuristic.... you know what I mean. That is a good Idea if they can make a keyboard that would support expansion boards and also Korg would keep the same model for a few years like how Roland XP was it was active for almost 10 years.

One thing I have not been able to understand about Korg company... Pa800 is among their top line arrangers and still it gives unbalanced output [TS -Tip & Sleeve - Hot & Earth] ... why??? .... why not balanced [TRS - Tip, Ring & Sleeve - Hot, Cold & Earth] ??? If it gives balanced output we get better and strong output with minimum noise... resulting in better sound quality...

Such an important factor overlooked... why???
