There is another problem too with this approach. When you're working with the Oasys with an external sequencer the chances are you'll have local control turned off and you'll be using your sequencer to route MIDI from the Oasys (acting as your master keyboard) through to the appropriate channel in Combi or Sequencer mode where you're using the Program in question. Lets say it's on Channel 5. When you switch into Program mode the instrument instead responds on the Global Channel, so now you have an extra step, as well as switching modes on the Oasys ... you need to change the routing of MIDI through the sequencer to the Global channel or turn on Local Control again.
