Help Reqd...
Just received my CD's for EXs3 Brass & Woodwinds. Tried to install, but the install failed. Error message was 'not compatible with system'...
Is this because I have not updated my op system to 1.3 ??
(I haven't done it yet coz it's a 100MB download...)
Cheers.

Yes. OS v1.3 is required to be installed prior to installing the EXs3.
You can download the v1.3 OS update here (left hand column, Dowloads, OS Update):

Thanks...
Thanks for your prompt response Martin. I actually guessed that might be the case and I've already started downloading the OpSys from korguser.net

I thought it was interesting that Korg didn't include the 1.3 update discs with the EX3 package.
Korg went to the trouble to send out the EX3 to everyone why not the 1.3 update was well since it was needed to run EX3.

Oasys 88, 2 gig ram, EXB-DI and all the current expansions. VIRUS TI Desktop, Protools Horizons and SSL Bundles
I think that distributing by downloads is the fastest, and best way to go.
But, your dealer or distributor should serve you with CD's for both updates and EXs libraries on your request. If they don't, you should report them to Korg.
But Korg should write in the readme file what system requirements you need for loading the EXs3 library.
Definately.
I have been running 1.3.0 and have had just the bounce issue, but I've seen on the forums that there are some bugs. So I understand there are some users that won't upgrade until 1.3.1. So therefore it is very important to state what operating system requirements there are before purchasing the authorization code.

To use EXs3, you’ll need:
• OASYS software version 1.3 or later
• 1.25GB or more installed RAM
You can verify that your OASYS fulfills these requirements by watching the LCD as the OASYS starts up. Confirm that “Version” shows 1.3 or later, and that “Memory” is 1.25GB or greater.
If your OASYS does not match these requirements, you will need to update your system software or install more memory before installing EXs3. For information on installing memory, see the Appendices of the Parameter Guide.

Just as an aside on the downloading thing, there are many of us who live in rural areas where no internet connections are available other than dialup @ 26k.
In fact, in the USA, 50% of all net users are still on dialup!
I, for one, really need disks and hope Korg understands there are many people in the same boat.
