That was an Alesis ADAT card. Alesis was the one that stopped making them.master logic wrote:So if it's still in production why isn't there a replacement for the adat card?

In this situation it is most likely an issue of cost/benefit.master logic wrote:So if it's still in production why isn't there a replacement for the adat card? how can you sell the Oasys to new customers when the option isn't available?
I suspect the vast majority of OASYS owners (similar to Triton Studio and Triton Rack owners before them) aren't interested in the EXB-DI ADAT option. Therefore, when Korg Japan encounters a supply problem (i.e. they can't get the parts to make them anymore) they have to ask whether it is beneficial to use money to develop a brand new ADAT card (which most owners won't buy) or to use that money to fund more general OASYS development (like new instruments or features). I am sure Korg Japan is not happy they can no longer supply the EXB-DI.
Given the EXB-DI is an option, I certainly don't think Korg Japan should stop manufacturing the OASYS just because they can no longer supply the EXB-DI.
My suggestion to you would be to create an eBay saved search for "Korg EXB-DI", which will send you emails every time an auction comes up.

I ordered and received an EXB-DI from KORG Italy............
but the board I received is probably a very old stock as it is marked Z1.
I have been assured (altough it required some problematic phone calls, nobody seemed to know it for sure, neither the product specialist) that it works with Oasys, but now I have some doubt.
As I bought it only to "fill the holes" on Oasys's back panel (but who knows, I might use it in a future), I have no way to check if it works correctly or not.
Anybody knows this for sure?
Are the EXB-DI boards all the same for all the KORG products which accept that board?

The box should look like this:
I can't imagine anything marked "Z1" would be the EXB-DI. Is it possible what they shipped was the Korg TRINITY options of DI-TRI (ADAT) or MOSS-TRI (Z1)?

I would suspect you do not have an EXB-DI. Certainly your Korg Country Distributor could contact Korg Japan.
Here is the EXB-DI manual:
