A good compresor for the esx1

I dont know much about compressors but ive been told by several people that in order to optimize the sound of my esx1 i need to hook it up to a compressor.

First of all is that true?

If so could you guys recommend me a good, compatible compressor around the price range of 200 $.

Well a compressor could make anything sound better if you know how to use it... one BIG problem with it is that most compressors are like amp sized rack modules, and electribes are portables which kinda makes them just that much less portable...... here's a sudgestion for what to look for:
