Seen the replay a dozen times, he never touched his arm; so, Justice prevailed

Still there has to be a reason why zizou did that.

Oh, yeah...
Materazzi is really a bad boy, here in Italy we would say he's a "Figlio di madre ignota", in english would sound like "we don't know who is her mother...or better, we know the mother, but not the father"
He would have told something wrong into zidan's hear, that's obvious.

I'll never forget the game between France and Brazil ... that was stunning. The perfect antidote for the England v Portugal game in the morning.

yes well, italy prob should not have been there....only because of a superb piece of acting....aussies would have done them in the extra time.....so they made the best of their HUGE slice of luck....at least they beat france!!!!

Hi keys,

I totally agree with you on that one mate, Italy should have won an
Oscar for their acting. They dived their way to the top.
Also the refereeing in this world cup was the WORST in the history of the
game.

Well done to Zidane, "player of the tournamet"

yeah maybe, who knows... its a knockout formula, i mean look what happened to brazil...we will never know now..i was just making a point that whilst the result for italy was good the method was a bit ....hmmm 'dodgy'.....but bottom line is that in 20 years time the record books wont say "italy won through to 1/4 finals on the back of dubious penalty", they will just say winner of 2006 world cup..italy.....maybe we will get some justice in 2010
