Re: Dead Motherboard

My KX61 failed to boot.... dead motherboard. :( Thought I would update you on the resolution... Repair center said they can't get the parts for months and months. Offered me the full purchase price back under the warranty. I think they just took a shortcut. Took the warranty not out any money. So ...

Dead Motherboard

My KX61 failed to boot. Stopped in the same place others have indicated. Did all the suggested resets. 3 weeks later, the guys are the nearest authorized repair center said the motherboard crapped out. I don't abuse this board and have no idea what could have caused this. Leary about playing it live ...

Casio

I wouldn't mind the Casio if it were just black. Gaffers tape can do the rest. Sad that Casio is going to have to work so hard to get street creds. The need to create a Nord Stage 2 killer and sell it for less money.

I used a pair of Roland 350s for years. Just went to a dual Line-6 L2M setup on stage (got em at a killer discount) and like the sound more, less coloring. A stereo setup unless your just monitoring on stage is advised. QSC K-series are popular but a set of nice self powered near field monitors on ...

When I was first learning (listening to Greg Rolie, Bill Payne, Keith Emerson, Rick Wakeman) , it seems it was really rare for someone to play in the flats, at least the way I remember it. I think you have better fingering cues with the black keys. Personally I don't like playing in B. When I'm just ...

Singers get old and guitar players want to play in Eb like Stevie Ray. Unless you really enjoy playing killer solos in Eb, Ab and Bb, you have to transpose. Yes, I can transpose on the fly, but I have better technique in some keys than others because I no longer spend 4 hours a day just practicing ...

[SNIP] I may have to go for that second keyboard as you suggested. What a ridiculous situation for such an expensive keyboard. Does Korg think these just sit in the studio? I purchased mine to use as a second tier going for the better sounds and key bed over many other boards. Programming this in a ...
