Yep, like Greg said, the RAM is limited to 4GB (actually 3.x) due to the 32-bit OS. A system that can recognize more than that would require a complete rewrite of the software, and that sounds like a project for the next generation workstation, unfortunately. Your "live forever" comment makes me ...

Marcan, awesome stuff! I'm a software engineer hoping to work towards a career in music tech, and this kind of thing is right up my alley. Just finished a 1.5 year research assistantship on a Linux-based embedded project, and have been a Korg enthusiast for a while now (10-15 years I guess). I've ...

Sold! I really hate it, but another time will come when I can afford to keep it. I'm going back to school in the spring and hopefully starting a family, so things are going to be tight for a while. Hopefully I'll be around as a Triton or M3 guy for a while, until I can go back to an O or Korg comes ...

It was simply the hard drive connection. Everything is good now. Thanks for the responses. Dan, I'm still going to email you per your offer. Thank you for taking the time to help resolve a problem with a customer. That's exactly what I expect from Korg, and the reason that I will continue to buy ...

Boot Disk Failed
Ok, so I was using my O on Monday afternoon no problem. I was leaving for a few days so I shut it off and unplugged the power and audio cables. Tonight I go to boot it up and after hanging on the Korg message for some time, I get a "Book Disk Failed: Insert Factory Disc and press Enter" message. I ...

Oasys 88 Reduced! $3500
Selling my O88. Just can't afford to hang on to it anymore. I got a great deal on it, so I'm selling it at a price that can give the next owner a great deal also. Great shape, a few nicks here and there. Smoke-free always. PM me your email address for pictures. $3500 firm, actual shipping from ...

Thanks for the replies. Sharp, I'm currently running through a monster power center 2500. I don't recall if the monster is running through my UPS or not, I guess I need to pull the desk out and check. I don't have a dealer anywhere too close, but I guess it's worth the road trip. Zolhof, sorry to ...

Complete loss of control surface?!
So I was just getting finished with an arrangement of a jazz piece, put about an hour into it when all of a sudden my entire control surface went dark. The met kept clicking, drum part on loop kept playing and the keybed was still functional... but everything else went dead! No lights, no buttons ...
